Middlesex Radio, formerly (Middlesex Notification) was established in November of 1993. The system is comprised mostly of public safety professionals, Dispatchers, Fire Fighters, and EMTs. The mission of the system was and continues to be the notification of serious emergency incidents requiring extensive responses of local public safety agencies. This information is transmitted for the members and listeners benifit. No members profit from this system in any way. The intent is immediate awarness of critical incidents in the local area. The notifications are carried out over UHF community repeaters which cover an area just south of Boston and well into New Hampshire. Major fires, motor vehicle crashes, and other large scale incidents are the target of our radio transmittions. No Police related incidents are transmitted. |
